NORCROSS, GEORGIA, USA / SANTA CLARA, CA - AMI, a global leader in BIOS and UEFI firmware, server and remote management tools, data storage products and unique solutions based on the Linux® and Android™ operating systems, is pleased to announce that its MegaRAC® Composer™ Pod Management Firmware Solution will be featured at the Open Compute Summit 2017 in Santa Clara, CA from March 8 – 9, 2017.
Attendees of the Open Compute Summit (OCP) come from the technology, finance, government, and consulting sectors and represent a wide audience, from engineers to senior executives, all with the shared goal of helping shape the future of OCP and influencing the next generation data center.
During Open Compute Summit, MegaRAC Composer Pod Management Software from AMI will be featured as part of a of a multi-vendor interoperability demonstration staged and hosted by Intel® Corporation - a Platinum Sponsor of this year’s OCP - using AMI Rack Scale Design technologies for pooled NVMe and NIC management.
Attendees will experience how MegaRAC Composer can browse physical resources at the rack, chassis and system level, all through an intuitive web-based user interface. As part of the demonstration, MegaRAC Composer will be used to compose and assign the available Inspur physical resources to create, deploy and manage a logical node.
MegaRAC Composer Pod Management Software is fully compliant with the Intel® Rack Scale Design and DMTF Redfish™ standards, to offer the advantage of demand-driven dynamic scaling to optimize datacenter resource utilization. It also allows for the composition of physical resources based on templates, which can then be stored in the software and reused as a time-saving feature. In addition, MegaRAC Composer gives users the ability to power on, force off, and gracefully shutdown composed nodes.
Subramonian Shankar, President, CEO and Founder of AMI, had this to say about the inclusion of MegaRAC Composer in the Intel demo at Open Compute Summit: "AMI is very grateful to Intel and the other interoperability demonstration partners for the opportunity to present our MegaRAC Composer Pod Management software at Open Compute Summit. AMI maintains a strong commitment to developing world-class management technologies for rack and scalable computing systems, drawing on our decades of providing remote management solutions to top-tier OEMs and ODMs around the globe, and Open Compute Summit is the perfect stage for showcasing our expertise to the industry at large."
AMI encourages attendees of Open Compute Summit to visit the Intel display and see MegaRAC Composer in action as part of the Intel interoperability demo. Representatives from AMI will be on the show floor throughout the event to speak to attendees who wish to know more about MegaRAC Composer and how it provides intuitive, efficient and powerful Rack Scale Design-compliant management for modular rack systems.
