The event will take place from August 16 - 18, 2016, with AMI located at Booth #321 of the Moscone Center West.
MegaRAC Composer from AMI is a Pod Management software solution developed to be fully compliant with the Intel® Rack Scale Design and DMTF Redfish™ specifications. It allows users to browse physical resources at the rack, chassis and system level through an intuitive web-based user interface. Administrators can then compose and assign those physical resources to create a logical node, which provides the advantage of demand-driven dynamic scaling to optimize datacenter resource utilization. MegaRAC Composer also allows for the composition of physical resources based on templates, which can then be stored in the software and reused as a time-saving feature. In addition, MegaRAC Composer gives users the ability to power on, force off, and gracefully shutdown composed nodes.
The MegaRAC Composer demo planned for IDF will showcase the software's unique capability to compose nodes and manage those components and their utilization, all from a remote location. Rack hardware from several leading manufacturers will be remotely managed by MegaRAC Composer from a central location in the Intel booth, where attendees can view the software's management interface and features. The AMI booth will contain additional information on how the demo was assembled and deployed.
