American Megatrends Expands Go to Market Activities to Grow StorTrends® Channel Business

- American Megatrends Inc. (AMI) announces the implementation of an aggressive Go-To-Market (GTM) initiative to help grow its StorTrends® SAN & NAS storage channel sales business
- AMI has made a number of significant hires across multiple groups within the StorTrends team, including a new Marketing Director, Demand Generation Representatives and Marketing Communications personnel
- AMI is engaging with the Taneja Group, Tech Target and other third party entities to further promote the StorTrends 3400i Dual Controller iSCSI SAN
- Significant investment made to support an aggressive demand generation calendar, including weekly webinars, third party email marketing campaigns and content syndication programs
NORCROSS, GEORGIA - American Megatrends Inc. (AMI) announces the implementation of an aggressive Go-To-Market (GTM) initiative to help grow its StorTrends SAN & NAS storage channel sales business.
Helping execute the new GTM initiative, AMI has made a number of significant hires across multiple groups within the StorTrends team. Those include the hiring of a new StorTrends Marketing Director - Mike Thyne. Mike brings to the table over 15 years of relevant demand generation and marketing programs experience, most recently as Marketing Programs Director for one of the world’s top data storage vendors. In that role, he managed a team that helped identify over $80M in net new storage business in the last fiscal year. Mike Thyne commented, “I am very excited about the opportunity to join the AMI family and help build the marketing demand for StorTrends. Additional hires include a team of Inside Sales professionals known as Demand Generation Reps (DGRs). The DGRs are tasked with qualifying StorTrends outbound and inbound leads quickly and effectively through a predictive dialing technology to provide StorTrends Channel Partners with qualified opportunities for selling StorTrends. The Marketing Communications Team has also added head count to help StorTrends ramp PR and media relations, along with extensive collateral, voice of the customer and social media activities. StorTrends has also engaged with the Taneja Group, Tech Target and other third party entities to further promote the StorTrends 3400i Dual Controller iSCSI SAN.
AMI’s President and CEO Subramonian Shankar, a long-time industry innovator, has approved significant investment to support a highly aggressive demand generation calendar for Q3 and Q4 of 2012, one that includes weekly StorTrends webinars, third party email marketing campaigns targeting 200,000+ public and private sector organizations and content syndication programs with respected third parties like TechTarget.
